It includes unlimited calls to the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Ireland, Italy, and Spain. It also offers free calls between Vonage users. Calls to international cell phones are subjected to different rates.

Cancellation charges

Vonage charges the customers on a monthly basis, however if a customer wants to discontinue the services within two years of signing up, Vonage charge him $39.99 cancellation fee.  Vonage has complete believe in its services and it prompts them to offer 30-day money back guarantee wherein customers can get back his money if they are dissatisfied with Vonage’s service.

Vonage with PC

Vonage works with both Mac and PC and there is no software required to download.  Calls don’t go via the computer, so the Mac or PC does not impact the Vonage service. While making calls it is not required to keep the computer on. Only things which are required to be up and running are high speed internet and electricity.

Vonage and landline connection

VoIP phone service differs from a landline connection. VoIP is the technology that converts the Analogue voice signals into digital data and sends it over the broadband internet lines instead of the traditional phone lines. Vonage provides competitive advantage as it doesn’t compress the voice resulting into superb sound quality.

In case of a traditional landline phone, your number is restricted to the place where you live. If you need to move or travel, then you can’t take that number along with you. In contrast to this, internet phone service is portable, so you can utilise any phone as your home phone attached to just the Vonage adapter and including the high-speed Internet connection.

Additionally there are many features of Vonage phone service that you cannot get from a landline like SimulRing. This feature can forward your calls to any five numbers globally and Vonage Visual Voicemail which converts your voicemails into text messages or emails.

Check Internet Connection

You can check your internet connection. Vonage has a test that will check the internet speed. You can use Vonage as long as you have at least 90kbps of bandwidth. However, Vonage works best at more than 180 kbps.

Vonage Network Availability Number

Vonage has the feature which comes into play in case of power failure or when internet gets disconnected. At the time of signing up for Vonage, you will set up a Network Availability Number. It can be either a cell number or landline number. In case of a power failure or Internet outage, all your calls will be forwarded to that network availability number. Once the power or Internet service is resumed, your phone will function as usual.
