The Philips VOIP841 is basically a self-contained unit that do not require any software to be downloaded and installed or any PC to be connected. It provides easy readability as it features a 128×128 full colour display. It also offers easy navigation via the intuitive interface by using a 4-way directional pad. User can also get fast access to his contact list as the handset comes with enough memory for up to 500 Skype phonebook entries.
The Philips VOIP841 also offers DECT Frequency for Security as well as extended Battery Life. This phone offers enhanced security features as it makes use of Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications frequency (1.8GHz). It also provides a longer battery life than other frequencies. This phone comes with talk time of up to 12 hours and a standby time of up to 120 hours.
Each base station of the phone can contain up to four handsets and four base stations together can accommodate 16 handsets. User can place call from one handset to other handset in the intercom mode. Users can now make free Skype calls to any location across the world without using a computer.
