Unlimited U.S. Calls for less than $3 with Skype
Skype has recently come up with subscription plans that offer cheaper calls to international cell phones and landlines. Skype users in more than 170 countries can sign up for subscriptions plans with as low as $1.09 per month. It offers the following call packages
Unlimited calls to U.S. and Canada-based cell phones and landlines – $2.95 per month
Unlimited calls to landlines in 39 countries except USA – $5.95 per month
Unlimited calls to over 40 countries worldwide including U.S. mobiles and landlines – $12.95 per month.
It offers the flexibility to the users to select packages for making calls to just one country like Canada, or a group of countries. User can purchase these call packages in one month, three month, or even one year bundles. These subscriptions will get automatically renewed unless user cancelled them. It also includes voicemail and call forwarding features. User can buy these subscriptions by using various modes of payment like bank transfers, credit cards, PayPal, and other local payment methods. User can also apply Skype Credit to a Skype subscription.
At present, Skype is offering free Skype-to-Skype calls on mobile phones and PC. For non Skype users, it offers Skype Credits that can be used by the users to call landlines and cell phones. Now user can purchase service bundles for unlimited calling. Although it is offering unlimited calling, there are several fair usage policy restrictions like user can avail 10,000 minutes of talk time per month and enjoy a maximum of six hours per day. Moreover, it does not allow user to call more than 50 different phone numbers in one day. Skype will charge normal rates after user exceeds these limits.
These rules are applicable to calls made to landlines and cell phones in selected countries like Canada, U.S., Hong Kong, Singapore, China, and Thailand. It is also applied to landline calls to 37 additional nations listed on the Skype Web site.
